Working a Pair of Two With a Leader

* * * * *

The Tandem Pack

A team of two horses…harnessed one behind the other…carrying a load between them is called… “The Tandem Pack”…

Ron Hilkey of Adams Lodge in Meeker, Colorado…is packing in tandem…in the Flat Tops Wilderness of Colorado… he is 72 years old in this photo…and…the back horse…in tandem…is 21 years old…

Ron and his horses packed the two canoes…full of supplies…over 7 miles of rough mountain wilderness trail…climbing mountains and crossing running rivers…The Tandem Pack is a dying art…

Singular

* * * * *

After Easter celebrations are over
and you're out in your yard assessing your
Spring Clean Up project
and you detect one lone Easter Flower,
are you taking a picture of a crocus...or a croci?

Just wondering.

Contemplation

* * * * *

It's me.  I'm sure it is only me.
I use vacation time to contemplate...assess...project

I made a decision to give up blogging.
Not all the blogs...one or two...
Just let go

...and then I spent a couple days deciding which ones...
which to retire and which to keep.
which did I enjoy more?
which one..or two were a drag?

I decided at the end of the trip
that I don't have to decide just yet.
I still enjoy this time.
I'd actually like to get the horses
and more animal husbandry in the mix...
and maybe introduce you to some other
blog friends I so enjoy...

So...this whole blog thing may continue to grow
until it implodes.
ok?
sure.

Home Sweet Choice

Do you ever travel somewhere and say,
"Wow...I think I could live here"?

Having lived in several states, I'm now adding
St. Augustine, Florida to my "I could" list.

Ocean.
God's sunrises
Great bars
Fine dining
Way cool shopping
Dog Welcome signs
Great critters - sanctuarys
Boat club
Overwhelming history

 and entertainment - inside establishments
and my fave, street musicians.
Just walk the streets with fresh lemonade
listening to steel drums
or a guy you'd swear was Jimmy Buffett.

Yep, I'm going back.
oh, and:
To Rhett's Piano Bar and Brasserie.

Gotta Go Now

* * * * *

It isn't that I don't appreciate every single thing in my life.

I do believe, however, that a vacation is requisite
in order to maintain that sentiment
in lieu of an exploding head!

four days, florida...four days

Whoops - the coupon for the Segway has expired.
...and I don't care...I'm still grinning!

'scuse me...need to go find a place with
steel drums or acoustic guitar entertainment.

Adios.
