I forget which blog I was reading when I came upon a comment about the new Emma series on Masterpiece Theatre - PBS - last week.....

I caught the evenings' show and reveled in the actress' performance - she makes the perfect Emma Woodhouse...

Wait just a minute, here! It just occured to me where I've seen this face before. And no, not in any classics in which she's performed - not in any British guest appearances...

NOPE...

I have seen this babe (she's hot, no?) in something saucy - spicy - yeah...HOT:

and together, Romola Garai and Diego Luna were reeeeaaallly sexy on the dance floor.

ok...I've not seen him in anything else - but - she's quite talented.

And the Emma series is good - purely my opinion.

It's been an adjustment....fun....productive... and:

yes, yes, yes thank God it's Friday....whew!

Enough with the Cream Cheese!!!

Something yummy to help get as far away from holiday food as possible:

.

Pizza With Honey and Chevre ~

.

Serves 4

1 cup luke warm water
1 tablespoon honey
1 tablespoon dry yeast
2.5 cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
4 tablespoon olive oil
.

Filling:
10 grape tomatoes, halved
1/2 cup crumbled chevre
10 basil leafs
honey to drizzle
.
Start with the dough.
In a bowl mix water, honey and yeast.
Leave it for 5 minutes so that the yeast starts to work.
Add flour, salt and oil.
Work the dough well together.
Cover with plastic and let it rise for 1 hour.
On a baking tray press the dough out with your fingers to form a large pizza.
Add tomatoes and half of the chevre.
Bake at 450F, 250C for about 5-6 minutes, or until golden and crisp.
Take it out and add the rest of the chevre, basil and drizzle with honey.

(My Style: Skip all the dough making: Get a couple hand-stretched Garlic Naans (flatbread) - warm in the oven with a spritz of good olive oil and a drizzle of honey. Then layer the filling. Easy Peasy and so so so not cream cheesey!!!!!)

Jenna Speaking - a segment of the Today tv show - interviewed people in Times Square before midnight..asking them about their resolutions. One woman in particular caught my eye/ear:

Besides dropping a few lbs which is not a resolution but an ongoing fight, I believe I shall adopt this woman's thoughtfulness and insight.
