HVAC v FLORIDA

* * * * *

Did I mention when it got warm, and then cold - the furnace didn't work?
So I called a repairman.
He said the furnace was very VERY old.
I asked about the A/C since THAT is even MORE important to me.
He tested, and came back to report:
"it's dead, Ma'am".

As I suspected, since when the Builders moved it during the renovation, they did say it appeared to be an antique and may not work this year.  They were correct.

So...I am now the proud owner of a brand spanking new 96% effecient furnace
and A/C system.

I have no need to go to Florida again this year.
You've seen it once, you've seen it.
And...based on gas prices,
I won't be driving to San Francisco.

I think we'll be taking little road trips
alllllllllll over my beloved Michigan....
...and that's ok with me!

What is it about the cars we drive?

* * * * *

Someone asked me today if I was feeling badly about
giving up the Cadillac.

Giving up - as in - the lease is up and it's turn in time?
No. That was the deal.
"Yeah, but isn't driving a truck a step down"?

Fuck no, lady!  It's about 2 steps higher to get in the dang thing!

Status Symbols?
Is society still rating us based on our wears and wares?
Gee, that's unfortunate.

I know a real ass of a horrible person that drives this

and
 I know the nicest person in the world that drives this

We need to go back to basics and stop judging these books by their covers - again!

PS: I love you, little Red Truck Driver!!!  :)

changing it up - a little!!!

* * * * *

Adios, Daddy's Cadillac

Helllll-lo, little crossover truck "Outback"!!!

Ok, I confess - I HAVE been "trucking" and "haulin" stuff all over Southeastern Michigan
and LOVING that I'm not "fighting it".
(I can get all that stuff in the trunk if I hold this 40 lb. bag of dogfood on my lap!!!)

So far...I'm an SUV Girl!  Who knew?

Last Week

Last week in Southeast Michigan was unseasonably HOT!

Too Damn Hot, frankly!  It isn't supposed to be 86 humid degrees on March 21st.
It's supposed to be 45 degrees.  Maybe 50.
So while the grass was growing out of control and signs of dandelions were everywhere -
I admit...I was sweating.  At dusk on my patio, being bitten by misquitos was unpleasant and my thoughts turned to boating....getting out on the water to cool off on such a hot (summer's) night.

Yep...I could cool off in this baby reeeeeeeeal fast,
thank you.

Since last week, the weather has returned to normal.

We'll wait for this baby.
But we WILL have our way with him
this summer.....ah, yes we will.
