May 5th....Cinco de Mayo

* * * * *

Cinco de Mayo celebrates the legendary Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862, in which a Mexican force of 4,500 men faced 6,000 well-trained French soldiers. The battle lasted four hours and ended in a victory for the Mexican army under Gen. Ignacio Zaragoza. Along with Mexican Independence Day on Sept. 16, Cinco de Mayo has become a time to celebrate Mexican heritage and culture.

I love Pennsylvania...
I was born there, although not when it was a Province
and not when it was spelled Pensilvania!

I remember alot since I spent all of the summers of my youth
at my Grandparents in southwestern PA.

...and my first beer.

I have no idea why I'm posting this, other than:
1.) I reconnected today with a friend I hadn't seen in...well..
too long
and
2.) when I saw this beer, it made me think of
summer picnics in Pennsylvania...
